Pemuda Muhammadiyah Ngabuburit Dengan Cara Tanam Bibit Pohon di Mapongka
TODAY, MENGKENDEK – Pemuda Muhammadiyah Tana Toraja mengisi waktu pada sore hari menjelang buka puasa (ngabuburit) dengan cara yang lain dari biasanya.
Jika biasanya sebagian orang memilih Ngabuburit di rumah bersama keluarga atau berkumpul bersama teman, namun tidak bagi para Angkatan Muda Muhammadiyah ini.
Di 13 Puasa Ramadhan atau Minggu 25 April 2021, sambil menunggu waktu berbuka puasa mereka mengisi waktu dengan melakukan penanaman pohon di Hutan Mapongka.
Mereka menanam ratusan bibit pohon dengan berbagai jenis dan terbanyak adalah jenis ekaliptus. Meski sementara melakukan ibadah puasa mereka tetap semangat melakukan kegiatan penanaman.
“Puasa tidak menghalangi kita untuk beraktifitas, meski sedikit agak berat. Bulan Suci Ramadhan adalah bulan ibadah dimana semua kegiatan yang baik akan dinilai ibadah oleh Allah Swt. Nah menjaga alam dengan cara menanam pohon juga adalah salah satu perintah penting dalam Agama dan insya Allah akan dicatat sebagai pahala dan Amal Jariyah kata,” ujar Muhammad Parinding, salah seorang aktivis pemuda Muhammadiyah, Senin, 26 April 2021.
Ditambahkan anggota pemuda Muhammadiyah lainnya Basrul Haq bahwa pihaknya berkomitmen akan selalu menjaga hutan Mapongka agar menjadi hijau kembali.
“Kami tidak hanya menanam lalu meninggalkannya, tapi kami akan lakukan monitoring secara berkala, sehingga niat kita untuk menghijaukan Mapongka bisa maksimal,” lanjutnya.
Menurut Basrul bibit pohon yang ditanam memprioritaskan jenis ekaliptus, diantara beberapa jenis pohon yang sudah ditanam dan yang paling bagus pertumbuhannya adalah Ekaliptus.
“Sebelumnya kami telah menanam banyak jenis pohon seperti, Nato, Bitti, Uru, Asam Bayam Jawa dan Buangin akan tetapi pertumbuhannya sangat lambat/kerdil,” tandasnya.
Jenis tanah di kawasan hutan Mapongka memang tidak seperti jenis tanah kebanyakan yang ada di Tana Toraja, Gunung Mapongka di dominasi oleh tanah berpasir dan batu sehingga tidak semua jenis pohon bisa tumbuh disana.
Sekedar diketahui bahwa sekira 1 bulan yang lalu atau tiga hari setelah kedatangan Presiden Jokowi dalam rangka peresmian Bandara dan pemantauan vaksinasi Massal, Para pemuda yang tergabung dalam organisasi ini langsung bergerak menanam pohon, sesuai permintaan presiden terkait kawasan Mapongka yang harus dihijaukan.
Seusai melakukan penanaman pohon para pemuda muhammadiyah lalu melanjutkan buka puasa bersama di Masjid Taqwa Minanga. (*)
