Selamat Jalan Oktavianus, Pahlawan Tanpa Tanda Jasa
TODAY, RANTEPAO – Oktovianus Rayo (42) satu dari dua guru asal Toraja yang tewas ditembak oleh Kelompok Kriminal Bersenjata (KKB) di Distrik Beoga, Kabupaten Puncak, Papua dimakamkan, Sabtu (17/4).
Oktovianus dimakamkan di Patane, Dusun Pebulian, Lembang Sa’dan Pebulian, Kecamatan Sa’dan, Toraja Utara.
Ratusan keluarga, kerabat hingga warga memadati pemakaman guru honorer itu yang diawali dengan ibadah.
Raungan pilu istri bersama keluarga tak terbendung saat jenazah guru honorer itu dibawa ke tempat peristirahatan terakhir.
Usai pemakaman, pihak keluarga
menyampaikan terima kasih kepada kepada seluruh pihak terkait yang turut mengambil bahagian mulai dari proses evakuasi hingga pemakaman almarhum Oktavianus hari ini.
“Mewakili keluarga, kami berterimakasih kepada pemerintah dan pihak terkait yang ambil bagian sejak jenazah diberangkatkan dari Papua, tiba di Toraja hingga dikuburkan,” ungkap Pither Masirri.
Sebelum dimakamkan, PGRI Toraja Utara menggelar upacara sebagai penghormatan terakhir untuk Oktovianus.
Diberitakan sebelumnya Oktovianus tewas ditembak KKB pada Kamis (8/4/2021). Saat itu ia tengah menjaga kios jualannya lalu diberondong peluru oleh KKB. Sehari berselang Yonathan Renden turut jadi korban keganasan KKB. Saat itu Yonathan hendak mengambil terpal untuk menutup jenazah Oktavianus.
Oktavianus merantau ke Papua sejak tahun 2007 atau 14 tahun silam. Di SD Kelmabet Beoga, Almarhum Oktovianus mengajar mata pelajaran Agama dan Seni Budaya.
Oktovianus meninggalkan seorang istri dan lima orang anak. Istrinya bernama Natalina Pamean, kelima anaknya Firman, Lin, Iyan, Falen dan Bili. (*)
