Buka HUT PMTI, Bupati Theofilus Harap Beri Kontribusi untuk Kesejahteraan Masyarakat Toraja
TODAY, MAKALE – Bupati Tana Toraja Theofilus Allorerung berharap kehadiran organisasi Perhimpunan Masyarakat Toraja Indonesia (PMTI) dapat memberi kontribusi untuk kesejahteraan masyarakat Toraja.
“PMTI agar tak hanya bergerak dalam lingkup organisasinya saja, akan tetapi bagaimana memberikan pemikiran, konsep bahkan tindakan untuk kemajuan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat Toraja,” ujar Theofilus dalam sambutannya di rangkaian HUT PMTI ke 18, di Pasar Seni Makale, Senin (18/4).
Pada kesempatan itu, Theofilus mengungkap sejumlah program penunjangdi sektor pariwisata yang akan dilaksanakan tahun 2022, yakni menghadirkan
1000 homestay.
Menurut dia, program tersebut akan berkolaborasi dengan PMTI dengan mengadakan lomba desain homestay.
“Kita juga berharap acara HUT Kabupaten Tana Toraja kita dapat bersinergi dalam koordinasi yang baik. HUT Kabupaten bukan hanya milik pemerintah, melainkan seluruh masyarakat Tana Toraja, baik yang ada di kampung maupun di perantauan (Diaspora),” imbuh mantan Kepala Inspektorat Pemprov Sulsel ini.

Tak lupa, orang nomor satu di Tana Toraja ini berharap agar PMTI yang berkedudukan di Jakarta semakin menghayati falsafah Toraja.
Semboyan Misa Kada Dipotuo Pantan Kada Dipomate haruslah dijunjung tinggi, dimana mengandung sarat nilai-nilai yang dapat mewujudkan kebersamaan tanpa dihalangi perbedaan.
“Nilai-nilai ke-Torajaan dibawah falsafah hidup orang Toraja, yaitu Misa Kada Dipotuo Pantan Kada Dipomate, wujudkan kebersamaan tanpa mempertimbangkan perbedaan agama dan lainnya. Kita harus menuju ke satu tujuan, Tondok Lepongan Bulan, Toraya Mala’bi’,” kata Theofilus.
Giliran menyampaikan sambutan, Ketua Umum PMTI Mayjen TNI (Purn) Yulius Selvanus Lumba mengatakan, perayaan HUT di Toraja ini merupakan wujud kerinduan akan kampung halaman.
“Kegiatan ini digelar juga untuk kembali bersama, berkumpul, bergembira setelah merenggang akibat pandemi Covid-19. Puji Tuhan kita bisa berkumpul dan bergembira bersama ditempat ini,” kata
Yulius menjelaskan, saat ini pihaknya mengembangkan Asosiasi Pengusaha Masyarakat Toraja. Ini bertujuan sebagai upaya memulihkan perekonomian masyarakat akibat pandemi Covid-19.
“PMTI kedepannya akan bersinergi dengan pemerintah daerah.
Kami akan menjadi patner pemerintah daerah, pengusaha dalam membangkitkan perekonomian masyarakat Toraja,” jelasnya.
Diketahui HUT PMTI ke 18 digelar enam hari di Rantepao dan Makale dari tanggal 18-23 April 2202. HUT dirangkaikan dengan Paskah, peringatan Hari Ibu Kartini serta Kongres I Pemuda PMTI. (*)
